Teach your AI the Cheqq way

Install the Cheqq skill so Claude Code, Claude.ai and other assistants work in your workspace the way you would, from the first request.

Connecting an assistant gives it Cheqq's tools. The Cheqq skill teaches it to use them well: look before it changes anything, edit a document on top of the latest version, check an App builds before it goes live, keep to one automation draft, and ask you before it deletes or publishes anything.

Install it once and it loads by itself whenever you mention Cheqq, a Wapp, or your records, automations, documents or Apps.

What it teaches

  • Finding its way. Which workspace it's in and what it may do, then your Wapps, collections and fields, before the first change.
  • Your records. Field names versus their labels, select values, counting and summarizing instead of reading everything, and importing in batches.
  • Documents and Apps. Editing on top of the version it read, small edits without rewriting a page, a checkpoint before every App edit, a check before every publish, and sending you to the App Builder when a change would let more people in.
  • Automations. Building on a draft step by step, testing before it saves, and leaving approvals to the people they ask.
  • When something goes wrong. What each error means and what to do next, including waiting out a rate limit.
  • Recipes for common requests, such as adding a field and showing it in a view, importing a spreadsheet, or building an automation that waits for your approval.

The skill doesn't connect anything by itself. Connect Cheqq to your assistant first: Claude Code, Cursor, Claude.ai or ChatGPT.

Install it in Claude Code

Download the skill into your personal skills folder, where every project can use it:

mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills
curl -fsSL https://docs.cheqq.ai/skills/cheqq.zip -o /tmp/cheqq-skill.zip
unzip -o /tmp/cheqq-skill.zip -d ~/.claude/skills

That creates ~/.claude/skills/cheqq/ with SKILL.md and its reference folder. To share it with everyone working in one repository, unzip it into the project's .claude/skills folder instead and commit it.

Run the same commands again to update it.

Install it in Claude.ai

Download the skill. Keep it zipped.
In Claude, open Customize → Skills.
Select +, then Create skill, then Upload a skill, and choose cheqq.zip.
Check cheqq is switched on in your skills list.

Skills need code execution, which Claude turns on in Settings → Capabilities. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner may need to allow skills for the organization first.

Use it with other assistants

The skill is plain Markdown, so any assistant that reads instructions from a file can use it:

  • Point it at SKILL.md and tell it to read the files it links when it needs them.
  • Or copy the contents of SKILL.md into the assistant's own instructions file, such as AGENTS.md, and keep the reference folder next to it.

The files, one by one:

FileWhat's in it
SKILL.mdHow to connect and how to work in Cheqq.
reference/tools.mdEvery tool, what it needs and which ones delete or publish.
reference/rest.mdThe REST API, for scripts and assistants without MCP.
reference/recipes.mdStep-by-step recipes for common requests.

For AI assistants reading these docs

Every page of these docs is also available as Markdown: add .md to its address, or use Copy page at the top of any page. llms.txt lists every page with a short description, and llms-full.txt has all of them in one file.
