Wapps

A Wapp is a focused, agent-built workspace you create or install in Cheqq. It groups the chat, data, files, and automations needed for one kind of work — a CRM, an inventory tracker, an outreach tool — into a single scoped surface.

What a Wapp can contain

Depending on how it was built, a Wapp can expose:

• A scoped chat for that Wapp's context
• Data collections with configurable fields and layouts
• Files attached to the Wapp
• Instructions — the Wapp's standing rules, edited from the Instructions tab in the Wapp workspace. Cheqq follows them when you chat inside the Wapp and in the AI steps of the Wapp's automations, so a rule like "never quote a price" holds whether you ask or an automation drafts the reply. A step's own instructions can narrow them but never set them aside. Because automations follow them, only the Wapp's owners and admins can change them.
• Related automations — workflows scoped to that Wapp

An automation can sit in more than one Wapp. Add one from the Wapp's workflows list, or take it out with Detach from this Wapp in its menu there. You can also ask Cheqq: "put the weekly report in my CRM", "move it to Sales only", or "take it out of this Wapp". The change happens when Cheqq saves the automation.

The tabs and controls visible in a given Wapp are the source of truth for what it can actually do — not every Wapp uses every surface.

Collections in depth

A collection's data is shaped by its fields and presented through its layouts:

• Field types — every field type a collection can use and its configuration options
• Field Agents — generate a field's value with AI: text, images, videos, and Deep Match relations
• Layout types — Overview, Grid, Kanban, List, Calendar, record views, dashboards, and saved views
• Relations — linking records between collections, including two-way sync
• Computed fields — lookup, rollup, and formula fields

A Wapp opens on its first dashboard, or on its first collection when it has no dashboards. A business system opens on its Home tab while its Getting started list is showing.

Creating a Wapp

Select New Wapp on the Wapps page, or Create new Wapp beside the installed Wapps in the sidebar. You'll be asked for:

1. Wapp name (required) — a live slug preview appears underneath as you type; the slug can't be changed after creation.
2. Description (optional) — what the Wapp should do.

Cheqq creates the Wapp and opens its workspace, where you continue refining the structure and behavior in chat.

Installed and custom Wapps

Every Wapp you have appears under Wapps in the main navigation. Custom Wapps begin from New Wapp. Installing one from the store gives you your own copy — yours to change, share with your workspace, or delete, without affecting the template or anyone else who installed it.

Templates in the store

The Store ships ready-made Wapps you can install and then change. All lists every one, and the tabs after it group them:

• Industries — business systems that each run one kind of business: Agency, Restaurant, Property Management, and Clinic & Practice. Each arrives with its Apps, its documents, a sample business, and a Getting started list. See Set up a business system.
• Sales & CRM — Lead Inbox, Leads Manager, Personal CRM, Sales Pipeline, which also starts conversations on X, LinkedIn and email in your own voice (see Outbound conversations), Social Operator for X, LinkedIn, Facebook and Threads, and Reddit Operator. Both read newest first against a hard age cutoff, so a conversation is surfaced while it's still live, and draft replies in your own voice for you to approve. See Social Operator.
• Marketing & Content — Content Studio (an idea-to-published pipeline), Blog, Newsletter Digest, and two that listen: Mention Watch for what strangers say about you, and Competitor Watch for what a known list of companies publishes. Mention Watch triages by category, sentiment and urgency, interrupts above urgency 80, flags misinformation, and drafts replies without posting them.
• Finance — Bills & Receipts, which keeps every receipt, bill and subscription you send it in one place (see Bills & Receipts), Invoices & Payments, and Revenue Dashboard.
• Projects & Work — Project Manager, Meeting Scheduler, Meeting Notes & Actions, Feedback & Bug Tracker, Event Planner, Cohort Schedule.
• Ops & Admin — Support Inbox, Client Tracker, Applicant Tracker, Inventory & Stock, Appointments & Sessions, Renewals & Deadlines.
• Personal — Todo Lists, Habits & Goals, Meal Planner, Job Hunt Tracker, Order Tracker.

Every template arrives with sample records so you can see it working. Those for running your work also bring a guide to how it runs, and a Getting started list on its Home tab that walks you through making it yours. Open a template to see its page before you install. Most show the workspace and any Apps it ships, and each page lists the records it keeps, every automation in plain words, marked Runs on its own or Asks you first, and what it costs to run. Install gives you your own copy, and Talk to us asks the Cheqq team for a hand setting it up.

Some templates depend on a service Cheqq connects to at the platform level. Where that isn't available, the template is hidden from the store rather than listed and impossible to install.

Wapp lifecycle

Until a Wapp's setup is done, like approving its browser access, its automations wait rather than run, so nothing fails while you finish. They start by themselves once setup is done. Automations that use your browser also wait while it's closed, and catch up when it's back.

A Wapp can be archived (read-only, re-enable with Restore), duplicated (an independent copy you can change freely), or deleted. Delete is the one way to remove a Wapp: it moves to Trash, and restoring it brings back its records, its automations, and the inbox addresses mail is forwarded to. See Delete and restore.

Wapps vs. published Apps

A Wapp itself is private to your workspace. Apps are a related but separate feature: a public-facing site bound to a Wapp's collections and workflows, deployed to a generated *.cheqq.site address. See Apps for the audience, permission, and publishing model, and Manage an App for the click-through.

Scoped chat

Chat inside a Wapp is scoped to that Wapp — Cheqq draws on its data, files, and instructions without treating the conversation as a general workspace request. A new conversation suggests what to ask first, led by anything that needs you, like a failed automation or unfinished setup.
