Outbound conversations

Find people asking for what you sell, and start conversations with them on X, LinkedIn and email, one message at a time, in your own voice, sent only once you approve.

Sales Pipeline starts the conversations that turn into deals. It finds people asking for what you sell and companies showing they need it, and you add the people you already know; it reads about each one, drafts a first message about them, and keeps the conversation going as they reply, one step at a time. Every message waits for your approval, and goes out from your own account or your own mail server.

Set it up

Install Sales Pipeline from the Store. Its Home tab walks you through Getting started:

Describe your offer and your voice. What you sell, who it's for, the facts a message may use, your own profiles, where you are, and a few messages you've sent yourself. Messages use only what's here. See Drafts in your own voice.
Connect your browser for X and LinkedIn: install the Cheqq Companion, approve browser access, and log in there. The rest of Sales Pipeline works without it.
Find people to reach: the people who already know you first, then two or three plays that find people asking for what you sell, or companies that just hired, launched or raised.
Approve your first suggestions and your first messages, set your pace, and turn it on.

Find people to reach

Each morning Sales Pipeline finds people asking for what you sell, and companies that just hired, launched, raised or rebranded, with the person in the role you want to reach there. They wait in Suggested for you with why them and why now, and nobody is written to until you approve them. Someone who asked in public gets their first message as a reply under their post; someone at a company is reached by the work email or contact form on its site, or on LinkedIn or X. See Find people to reach for plays, how each person is reached, tuning your plays, and the limits.

How a conversation moves

Add someone to Conversations with their profile link or email address, how well you know each other (Warmth), and why you're writing (Signal): their post, their question, a launch.

  1. Research. Through the day, one person at a time and warmest first, it reads their profile and recent posts in your browser, or their company's website for email, finds what to open on, and judges the fit. Good fits get a first message drafted; weak fits wait for you. Untick Research wanted for people you know well, and they go straight to a first draft.
  2. The first message opens on them, with one easy question. It never mentions your product to someone who doesn't know you.
  3. Their reply is read every two hours on X and LinkedIn, and arrives by itself by email. It's sorted (interested, a question, a doubt, not now, or stop) and the next message is drafted: an answer in their words, and once they're interested, one specific next step with your booking link.
  4. Qualified adds them to Contacts and opens a deal in your pipeline.
  5. Silence gets one short follow-up after two days. Four days after that with nothing, the conversation is let go.

Anyone who asks you to stop is marked Do not contact, along with every other conversation you have with them under the same name, email address or profile. Anything still waiting to go to them is dropped, and nothing is sent to them again. A reply also drops any message to them still waiting, so nothing written before it goes out after it.

Start a conversation from anything you read

On someone's post or profile on X or LinkedIn, open the Cheqq Companion and choose Start a conversation. Its author is added to Conversations with the post as the reason to write: a conversation you found with Social Operator, a post on a trend, a comment under someone else's post. Research and a first draft follow through the day, warmest people first. Nobody already in your Conversations is added twice, and nobody who asked you to stop is added at all. Set how well you know them if they're not a stranger.

Approve and send

Open Messages, then To review. Each draft says what the check found before you saw it: Pitches too early, Too familiar for a stranger or Same as another opener. Edit if you like, then set it to Approved. It goes out in the other person's working hours, one an hour, and no more new people a day than your Offer's New per day.

Once you've approved three messages in a conversation, you can tick Auto send on it so its replies go without asking. A first message, a reply carrying any link but your booking link, and anything else the check flags, still waits for you.

Enquiries that email you first

A good enquiry that reaches your Sales Pipeline address becomes a deal with a reply drafted in the same thread, and if they've gone quiet two days later, one chase is drafted too. Both wait for your approval unless you untick Check replies in Pipeline settings, and go only to an address Cheqq can confirm the enquiry came from. An email that only claims to come from someone, for example through a contact form's reply-to, never gets an automatic reply: you're told to answer it yourself.

Email from your own mail server

Outreach email goes from your own mailbox and domain, never from a Cheqq address. Add your mail server under Integrations → Mail servers, choose it in the Send approved emails automation's Send it step, fill in Sender on your Offer, and switch the automation on. Replies come back to your outreach inbox and land in their conversation, and a first email ends with your opt-out line.

Reading LinkedIn messages marks them read

To find a reply, it opens your thread with that person, which marks it read in LinkedIn.
