Plans, usage, and billing
Understand Cheqq's plans, track your usage, and manage billing.
Plans
Cheqq has three plan tiers: Free, Pro, and Business, priced per seat on Pro and Business. Plans differ in AI credits, workflow step-runs, active Wapps, live published Apps, browser-automation minutes, storage, run-history retention, and available AI model tiers. The Companion extension itself is available on every plan, including Free.
Workflows aren't capped
Every plan, Free included, can keep as many workflows as it likes, on any schedule frequency. What meters workflow usage is the step-run quota, not a count of how many you've built — so trying out templates costs you nothing until they actually run.
AI credits
Every workspace gets a fresh credit grant each calendar month — it refreshes on the 1st (UTC), regardless of when your subscription renews:
- Free — 750 credits, for accounts with no paid plan. An extra unpaid workspace owned by someone who already pays for another gets 250.
- Pro — 7,500 credits per seat.
- Business — 20,000 credits per seat.
Adding a seat or upgrading the plan mid-month delivers the additional credits immediately.
The monthly grant and purchased credit packs behave differently, and the billing page's meter draws them as separate tracks: an exhausted grant refills on the 1st, an exhausted pack does not — only the second is a reason to buy more.
Long conversations cost less than their length suggests: the part of the context the model has already processed on earlier turns is billed at a discounted rate. The chat footer shows how much of each turn qualified.
Plans belong to workspaces
A subscription is attached to a workspace, not to you. Checkout, credit packs, and the billing portal all act on the workspace you're viewing, and each workspace gets its own monthly credit grant from its own plan.
- Work done in a workspace is billed to that workspace — a member invited into a paid workspace spends its credits and hits its limits, not their own.
- Someone paying for two workspaces holds two independent subscriptions; cancelling one never touches the other.
- Personal resources that follow you between workspaces — MCP connections, custom API credentials, OAuth apps, skills, file storage — stay billed to your own plan.
- The number of free workspaces you can own is capped by your best plan; workspaces with their own paid plan don't count against that cap.
Track your usage
Open Settings → Billing to see, for the workspace you're currently in:
- Meters for AI credits, workflow steps, and storage — each shows used vs. limit, and turns amber near your limit, red at it
- Live resource usage — your current count of live Apps, active Wapps, active workflows, webhook endpoints, and Mailhook addresses (this doesn't reset monthly, since it reflects what's currently live)
- Recent AI operations — a per-call log of which model ran, where, and what it cost
Unlimited entitlements show as Unlimited rather than a percentage.
Upgrade, manage, or buy credits
- Upgrade takes you to pricing and starts checkout for the plan and seat count you choose.
- Manage billing opens your billing portal, where subscription changes and cancellation are handled.
- Buy credit pack (Pro and Business only) purchases a one-off top-up of 10,000 AI credits for $30, which expires after 12 months. Packs are how occasional heavy work — generative video in particular — is meant to be funded, rather than by sizing your plan for the spike.
If you hit a plan limit while trying to do something gated by it, Cheqq shows a contextual upgrade prompt naming the specific limit rather than a generic error.
