Share and remix

Share a conversation as a replay anyone can watch, share a Wapp or workflow as a template, and make your own copy of what someone else shared.

What you build in Cheqq can travel. Share a conversation and anyone with the link watches it happen — the thinking, the steps, and what it made assembling beside it — then makes their own copy with Remix. Share a Wapp or a workflow on its own as a template, and anyone can copy how it's built into their own account.

A copy never carries your records, connected accounts, addresses, or secrets, and anything in it that runs by itself arrives switched off.

Share a conversation as a replay

In a conversation, select Share at the top of the transcript. In a Wapp, App Builder, workflow, or document chat — and on a phone — it's the share icon in the chat's header, once the conversation has a message.
Read what will become public, then select Share conversation.
Choose Who can find it — Anyone with the link, or Public — search engines may list it.
Select Copy link, or Open replay to watch it yourself.

Once shared, the dialog shows when the snapshot was taken, how many messages it holds, and how many times it has been viewed.

What a replay includes

A replay is a snapshot: nothing you add to the conversation afterwards shows until you update it. It plays from the first message and shows:

  • Your messages and Cheqq's replies, including its thinking and the plans, questions, and task lists it showed you.
  • Every step it took, by name and outcome. What went into a step and what came back — searches, record contents, emails it read, anything it looked up — stays private.
  • What it made, in a pane beside the transcript, each revealed at the moment it was made. The share dialog lists each one and what sharing does to it:
Made in the conversationWhat viewers get
Artifact (page, document, deck, sheet, design)Published with the replay so it can be opened. One you'd already published stays public as it was.
Image or videoViewable in the replay.
WorkflowIts steps, assembling on the canvas the way they did live. A remix arrives switched off, without your accounts.
WappShown live and read-only, with its current data. A remix copies how it's built, not your data.
AppShown live if it's published to the public; otherwise a card only. Publish it to show it live and let visitors remix it.

Files you attached to your messages are included too.

A conversation from a Wapp, App Builder, workflow, or document chat opens on what it was about: the replay shows that Wapp, App, workflow, or document from the first frame, ahead of anything made along the way.

Update or stop sharing

  • Update snapshot refreshes the replay under the same link, with the conversation as it is now. Artifacts it published keep their link settings.
  • Stop sharing closes the link, along with the artifact links the share itself published. Artifacts you had published before sharing stay public. Copies people already made are theirs and stay.

Watch a replay

A replay opens playing. Viewers need no account.

The controls sit along the bottom: play and pause, a seek bar, the playback speed (select it to cycle through 0.5×, 1×, 1.5×, 2×, and 3×), restart, skip to end, keyboard shortcuts, and fullscreen. While it plays, the controls fade after a moment and return when you move the pointer or press a key. When the replay finishes, Playback completed offers Replay and Remix.

On a phone, Conversation and the thing being made sit in two tabs. Someone who has asked their device for reduced motion sees the conversation finished rather than typed out.

Present a replay

Press H (or the eye button) to hide the controls for a demo or a screen recording. Once hidden on purpose, they stay hidden — moving the mouse won't bring them back into the shot. Press H or Escape to show them again.

Two additions to the link set this up in advance: ?controls=0 opens with the controls hidden, and ?autoplay=0 opens paused so you can start it on cue.

Remix

Remix makes a shared thing yours. It's in the replay's header and at the end of playback; a template's page and a published artifact's page call it Make this yours.

Signed in, you go straight to your copy. Without an account, you sign up first, and the copy is waiting when you arrive.

Remixing a replay copies everything it made into your account, then opens a new conversation continued from the original — the prompts and replies are there, so you can carry on with "make the header bigger" and Cheqq changes your copy. When the conversation was about a Wapp, App, workflow, or document, the new conversation opens beside your copy of it.

If something can't be copied — your plan has no room for another Wapp, or an App was never published — the rest are still copied, and the new conversation says what was skipped and why.

Share a Wapp or workflow as a template

A template shares how something is built without a conversation around it.

Open the Wapp's Settings (on a phone, it's in the header's More menu). Under Template, select Share….

In the workflow editor, select the workflow's name to open its menu, then Share as a template. Only the workflow's author can share it this way.

The dialog says what travels. Select Share template, choose Who can find it, and Copy link.

  • A Wapp template carries its collections, views, dashboards, workflows, and its agent's instructions.
  • A workflow template carries its steps, its triggers, and how they fit together.
  • Neither carries your records, connected accounts, addresses, the people in it, or secrets — whoever copies it connects their own. The dialog lists What someone who copies it sets up.

Sample rows

A Wapp's copy starts empty unless you include Sample rows — a few records that show how it works. Pick up to 25 per collection and 100 in all. Only text, numbers, dates, choices, and links go with them, never people, files, or links to other rows.

Secrets stop a share

A password or API key typed straight into a step would travel with every copy, so Cheqq won't share it. The dialog names each step and field holding one. Move each secret into your credentials, pick that credential in the step, then share again.

Update or stop sharing a template

A template is a snapshot too. Copies get what you shared; select Update template to pass on later changes. Stop sharing closes the link, and copies already made stay with their owners.

The template page

A template's link opens a page anyone can read:

  • A Wapp template shows the Wapp itself, live and read-only, as you see it. A copy starts with how it's built and any sample rows you chose, never your data.
  • A workflow template shows its canvas and How it starts.
  • What you'll set up lists the parts a copy connects itself.

Make this yours copies it. Everything that runs by itself arrives switched off, and an automation with an approval step starts on Ask me first, however the original was set. A copied Wapp that needs anything connected opens on its setup page; a copied workflow opens with a Copied from banner and a checklist of what to set up before it runs.

Share a published artifact

A published page, document, deck, sheet, or design has its own link. When Allow downloads is on, its page also offers Make this yours, which copies it into the visitor's account. See Artifacts.
