Find people to reach
Each morning Sales Pipeline finds people asking for what you sell and companies that just hired, launched or raised, and suggests them for you to approve.
Most people who need what you sell show it in public first. Some ask: "anyone recommend someone for our onboarding emails?" Some companies show it: they're hiring a Head of Growth, they just launched, they just raised. Each morning Sales Pipeline looks for both, so you start your day with a short list of people worth writing to, instead of a blank page.
Nothing is written to anyone until you approve them, and no message goes until you approve it. See Outbound conversations for what happens after you approve someone.
It finds people who post in public and companies whose news is public. It doesn't search a contact database, and doesn't buy contact details from anyone.
Plays
A play is who you want to reach, in your words, and where to look for them. Find people to reach in Getting started drafts two or three from your Offer and checks every value with you. What you confirm is searched exactly as written; nothing else decides what to look for. Change a play in Plays any time, or untick Active to pause it. Each play counts the people it suggested, and how many you approved and skipped.
There are two kinds.
People asking
Who you want to reach, the platforms (X, LinkedIn or both), and up to three phrases written the way people ask: "anyone recommend an onboarding email tool". Each morning the phrases are searched on your platforms from your own browser, newest first, for posts from the last two days.
Company signals
Companies that just did something that makes now a good time to write. A Company signals play has:
- The signal: Hiring for a role you help with, Launched, Raised money, or Rebranded, in the last 30 days.
- The role to reach there, by their job: "Head of Marketing".
- A location, like "London" or "Germany", or words that must appear in what the company published, like "growth" for a company hiring in growth. It needs at least one, so the search isn't everything.
Each morning its search runs on the web exactly as you wrote it. Each company found is judged against your Offer. For the ones that fit, Cheqq reads the company's own team, about and contact pages, then looks on LinkedIn and X in your browser for the person in that role. Each suggestion opens with why now, like "Hiring a Head of Growth (posted 3 days ago)", with a link to where it says so.
Companies you already have a conversation with, by their website or their name, are never suggested again, and nor is any company where someone asked not to be contacted.
Suggested for you
Everyone found waits in Suggested for you with why them, why now, and how the first message would reach them. Posts that aren't asking for what you sell are set aside as Skipped with the reason Not asking for this, so they're never looked at twice.
- Approve someone by setting Stage to Found. They're researched like anyone you add, and a first message is drafted for you to approve.
- Skip someone by picking a Skip reason. They move to Skipped.
Nobody already in your Conversations, at any stage, is suggested again, and nor is anyone who asked you to stop, or you. You get one alert when someone new is suggested, and none when nobody is.
How each person is reached
| Reach | When | The first message |
|---|---|---|
| Public reply | They asked in a public post. | A reply under their post, once you approve it. |
| Message | Their X messages are open, or you're connected on LinkedIn. | A direct message, once you approve it. |
| Their company's own site publishes their work address. | An email from your own mail server, once you approve it. | |
| Contact form | Their company's site has a form, not an address. | Nothing is sent for you: write there yourself, or add their email and set Reach to Email. |
| Connect first | On LinkedIn, you aren't connected yet. | Nothing until you connect yourself and change Reach. |
| Find the person | The company fits, but nobody in the role was found. | Nothing until you find them and add their profile or email. |
Public replies first. Someone who asked in public gets their first message as a reply under their post: about what they asked, in their words, with no pitch, no product name and no link, and one easy question. It goes out in their working hours, or in yours while their time zone isn't known yet. Once they answer, the conversation carries on in messages where the platform allows.
Someone at a company gets a first message that opens on what the company just did ("saw you're hiring your first Head of Growth"), with one easy question about it.
Connect first on LinkedIn. LinkedIn lets you message only your connections, and Cheqq never connects for you. Connect with them yourself, then set Reach to Message, or to Public reply to answer their post, and tick Draft wanted.
Shared addresses
Cheqq never guesses an email address: it uses only one a company publishes on its own site. A person's own work address comes first. When nobody in the role was found and the site only publishes a shared address, like info@ or hello@, the suggestion says so: the first message would go to the company's general address, not to a person, once you approve it.
Tune your plays
Every Monday morning, a play you've skipped ten or more people from since it was last tuned gets one suggested change, worked out from your skip reasons: a phrase to add, say, or a narrower location, with why. It waits on the play as its Suggested change.
Nothing changes on its own. Ask the assistant in Sales Pipeline's chat to apply it, and it updates the play and clears the suggestion; say no and it just clears it.
Limits
- Up to three full People asking plays and one Company signals play run each morning. With more, they take turns, the one waiting longest first.
- Each play suggests at most its daily limit: 10 to start, 20 at most. A morning shares its 20 suggestions fairly between the plays it runs.
- If a search is cut short, by a login wall say, the play tries again later that morning and Plays says what stopped it.
- People asking needs the Cheqq Companion, logged in to X and LinkedIn. A morning with no play due costs nothing.
What finding people never does
It never searches for anything but what you confirmed in your plays, and never contacts anyone you haven't approved. It never fills in a contact form, and never opens company websites in your browser. It never connects, follows, likes or reacts for you, and stops at any login wall or limit rather than working around it.

Outbound conversations
Find people asking for what you sell, and start conversations with them on X, LinkedIn and email, one message at a time, in your own voice, sent only once you approve.
Drafts in your own voice
Give Social Operator, Reddit Operator and Content Studio a few things you've written, and every draft sounds like you, sticks to facts you gave it, and gets a second look before you approve it.
