Files

Upload, use, download, and remove files, and work with a Wapp's data collections.

Upload a shared file

Select Files in the main navigation.
Drag files into the upload area or select Upload.
Wait for the upload to finish before using the file in chat.

Uploaded files belong to the workspace and are available to Cheqq, every Wapp, and every workspace member — two members of one workspace see the same file tree. The per-file size limit depends on your plan — check Billing if you're unsure which applies to your workspace.

Use files in chat

Attach supported files from the chat input when a request depends on their contents. In a Wapp chat, type @ to choose from available workspace files when the file picker is shown.

Preview documents in place

Word documents, PowerPoint decks, spreadsheets, and PDFs open in faithful in-app viewers — DOCX with its real formatting, PPTX slide by slide, spreadsheets as tables with sheet tabs, PDF in your browser's native viewer. The same viewers open from file links in chat and from a record's attachment fields. The viewer's arrows walk every viewable file in your current filter, not just the visible table page. Markdown and text files open in the document editor instead.

Download or delete

Use the actions beside a file to download or delete it. Deleting a file removes it from the shared Files area, so confirm that ongoing chats or Wapps no longer need it.

Work with a Wapp's data collections

Inside a Wapp, its data lives in collections — each with typed fields and up to four layouts: Overview, Grid, Kanban, and List. Click a column header in Grid to rename or edit that field; renaming never breaks existing records, since fields are tracked by a stable ID underneath.

Import and export

Import a CSV or JSON file into a collection from the toolbar — Cheqq walks you through mapping source columns to fields, validates every row, and only commits the import once everything passes (a bad row anywhere blocks the whole import, with a downloadable error report). Export works the other way: choose CSV or JSON and whether to include all fields or only the ones currently visible; it respects your current filter and sort, up to 10,000 records.

Still finishing rollout

Import and export are live today but still finishing final verification — if something looks off, check Troubleshooting or Support.

If an upload fails, confirm the file is within your plan's limit and retry from the Files page. See Troubleshooting for more recovery steps.
